Wider Web Lingo: Gesture

There's a lot of lingo around the wider web so this is one of a series of short definition posts.

Gesture: A body motion that can be recognized and used as input

Computers are getting better at watching how we position our arms and legs or how we pose our hands. This new type of input can be used on the wider web to create interactions that feel natural and fun.

You'll poke virtual buttons with your fingers, brush the fur of animated animals, and teleport in fantastic virtual spaces by making a specific hand gesture and waving it toward the places that you'd like to go.

Gesture is one of the three new input types on the wider web:
